This privacy notice explains how Castellinaria – Festival del cinema giovane, with its registered office at Piazza Grande 3, CH-6512 Giubiasco (hereinafter the "Controller"), processes personal data of users who create an account on the platform https://online.castellinaria.ch (hereinafter the "Platform"), in accordance with Article 19 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

  • Account creation and management: necessary to allow access to the Platform, enable streaming of the films offered, and verify the user's identity.
  • Newsletter subscription: with the user's consent, the e-mail address is added to a mailing list to receive communications about the Platform's content and school-related activities during the Festival week. Subscription to the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Data Retention Period

Account data are kept for as long as the Platform is used. In case of inactivity, the account may be deactivated or deleted after 2 years.

5. Data Recipients

Personal data are processed exclusively by the Controller's authorized personnel, strictly to achieve the purposes mentioned above, specifically:

  • monitoring Platform users;
  • statistical purposes;
  • sending the newsletter.

The Controller also relies on an external company for technical management of the Platform and web hosting services, with servers located in Switzerland. This provider may access some personal data and provides appropriate guarantees regarding data security and protection.

Personal data are not disclosed to external third parties, except as required by law.

The Controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of personal data, protecting them from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or improper disclosure.
